How do two item masters become one, without days of manual work?

Two unaligned item masters become one checked master. Rules decide where the data is clear. You decide where it is not.

Fixed rules match the clear cases, every match with its rule, reason and source.

  2. Settle doubtful cases

TodayThe same EAN does not always mean the same item.

    With Synthexa

    Open cases for your decision

Synthexa presents candidates with reasons, and you decide.

  3. Match every delivery

TodayWith every new data delivery, matching starts from scratch, by VLOOKUP and visual checks.

    With Synthexa

    Decisions that last

With the next delivery your decisions apply automatically, and the export shows every change.

Bottom lineOne item master you can trace, and an Excel file in its original format.

What you can rely on

  1. Every match has its reason.

For every match Synthexa shows the rule, the reason and the source. Private labels, pack sizes and flavour variants are not mixed up.

    One match, example

    • 4012340000011EAN in file A
    • 4012340000011EAN in file B
    • Same EANreason
  2. Your own rules, in your words.

Write additional rules as plain sentences and test them on your files before they apply.

    Your own rules, example

    • “Multipacks count as separate items.”tested
    • “Match promotional packs to the base item.”tested
  3. Your format stays.

The result comes back as an Excel file in its original format, every change highlighted in colour.

Frequently asked questions

In short

What is an open case?

An item whose data is ambiguous, for example because its EAN sits on two items in the other file. Synthexa presents candidates with reasons, and you decide. Your decision applies automatically to the next delivery.

Which data does Synthexa need?
Two item masters as Excel or CSV files, such as a market data export and a retailer’s item file. You do not need to clean them: Synthexa recognises cover sheets, title rows, footnotes and EANs in scientific notation itself.
What do I get, and in which form?
One item master, every match with its rule, reason and source. The export comes as an Excel file in its original format, with changes highlighted in colour.
How does this differ from market analysis?
Item matching merges two item masters into one checked master. Market analysis evaluates large exports and answers your questions about the figures.
Does the AI decide on matches?
No. Fixed rules match the clear cases, and you decide all others. You write additional rules in your own words and test them on your files before they apply.
Where is my data?
The platform is hosted in Frankfurt, and AI processing takes place in Europe. Your data is not used to train AI models.
